It is with great pleasure that I accept the honor and the responsibilities of serving as the new President of the American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP). I am excited about the year ahead and very proud of what we’ve accomplished over the last year. 2018-19 was distinguished by many new ideas and new programs originating from our Executive Officer, Dr. William B. Coleman, our ASIP Council, our AJP journal leadership, and our committees and membership. Over the course of this year, the ASIP introduced new programs at EB including the wildly popular “I Am An ASIP Member and This is My Science,” held an energizing and entertaining PISA meeting at the University of Michigan complete with a visit to The Big House, and expanded its social media presence. The superb science that has been characteristic of ASIP meetings since the start of this society was conspicuously available and inspiring, both at EB and at the PISA meeting.
