Daisy Shu, PhD

Daisy is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in Dr. Magali Saint-Geniez’s laboratory at Schepens Eye Research Institute of Mass Eye and Ear, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA. Her research explores changes in mitochondria and metabolism during retinal eye diseases such as age-related macular degeneration. She completed her PhD in 2019 at the Lens Research Laboratory of the University of Sydney, Australia under the supervision of Dr. Frank Lovicu on growth factor signaling pathways in cataract formation. She is currently an ASIP Member-in-Training and serves on the ASIP Committee for Career Development and Diversity.
