Day one was incredible, but wait until you see what’s in store for Day 2!
PISA 2020 started strong yesterday afternoon with a Plenary session and two concurrent Symposia featuring exceptional presentations from invited speakers and six excellent abstract-driven presentations. We hope you enjoyed the live sessions and that you had a chance to see some of the ePoster. The Virtual Trainee Hangout that occurred last evening was also a great success.
TODAY at PISA 2020, we will begin the morning with the first of several Trainee Advising Sessions that occur this week. Today’s 9:00 AM session will feature the topic: “Living the Best of Both Worlds: Translating Science into Clinical Practice.” This session should be of interest to undergraduates, graduate/medical students, as well as postdoctoral fellows. At 10:00 AM, the Gene Expression Scientific Interest Group will provide a Meet-the-Experts session on the topic of “Spatial Transcriptomics/Single Cell Analysis.” At 11:00 AM, preregistered trainees will participate in Lunch with the Stars. Eighteen prominent members of the Society will interact with trainees in small groups to discuss strategies for training and careers in research. At 1:00 PM, the scientific program will begin with a Plenary Session on “Metabolism: From Organelles to Organisms,” followed by concurrent Symposia at 3:00 PM on “Host Protection and Responses to Infectious Diseases” and “Deconstructing the Vascular System: Multi-scale Approaches.” For PISA afterhours, the Women in Pathology will hold their ASIP Jeopardy Game Night at 6:00 PM. This will be a fun and informative networking session and everyone is invited.
When you have a break from the schedule, be sure to visit the ePoster.
Day 2 of PISA 2020 has something for everyone. See you there!
